I can't find any answers anywhere else. I want to find another pick up to beat on plowing snow or hauling building materials so I wont ruin my 04 Dodge diesel.( must be at least 3/4 ton, and 4 wheel drive not necessarily diesel) I have been searching for something around 5-$6000. All I find is complete rust bucket junk. I did come across a 97 Chevy ( ewwww) with a 6.5 liter diesel with 180,000 miles in pretty good shape. I have heard that these chevy diesels don't last very long. A mechanical contractor went through 4 of them in his box truck in 200,000 miles. So is this a junk engine?? I can't find a decent dodge that the rocker panels and doors aren't rotted out and the door hinges aren't shot.
