I want to build a shop building this coming summer. For a heat source I am planning on wood. Questions is: should I go with a free standing wood stove in the corner (one has been offered to me for free) or should I pay out for a wood burning furnace with radiant heat in the floors? If I can swing it I'm looking at 1200 - 1500 sq ft (the wife said it has to be smaller than the house and cannot have it's own bathroom). Primary use is for wood working with a portion of it partitioned off for the trucks and auto maintainance. Any thoughts?
