cutting sheet metal

so i'm going to cut some patches of sheet metal for my truck, and i was wondering if anyone had some advice on the best way to cut it. i wish i had the money for a plasma cutter, but i'm not that rich. i have a blow torch, but i was wondering if there's a "cleaner" way to do it.
