Vacuum wiper motor 101

Lets talk about vacuum wipers. The wipers arent working on the 47. They make a slight puff sound and try to turn but thats it. How do they work inside. Is there a way to oil them or do maintainance on them? A way to rebuild them. Anyone have luck by a clean and lube job and get them to work again?
