I have saved many with WD40. Stick a straw in the hole where the line goes, pull knob out and work back and forth with the blade arm. WD40 moisturizes the stuff inside that has hardened from sitting. Also take the cover plate off the back side and clean and lube the mechanism. Almost everytime I have bought kits they were incorrect. When I have motors that can't be saved I have the rebuilt by Clean sweep. Steve
