Actually it is a matter of hydraulics, a smaller bore will exert MORE pressure, but less fluid. Looking at the set up (you need to "curl" those tubes or you'll break those lines eventually) am I correct in that you have disc front and drums rear? You may need to bleed further, but chances are you should have a proportioning valve to compensate for the different working pressure required for disc vs. brakes. If the drums are fully engaged, but the disc are not, that will make your pedal feel soft.
