Well if you had unlimited force and fluid the pressure would stay the same, but the bigger the diameter, the more fluid and less pressure with the same amount of applied force. Think of it this way, a 100psi air compressor pushing air through a 1/2" hose takes 1 minute to fill a 50' long hose. That same air compressor at the same psi, filling a 1" hose takes 2 minutes to fill that same 50' long hose...by that time you are throught the intersection, over the nuns in the crosswalk and into the bordello.....= )
