Well, I have been turned down by Haggarty because I made the mistake of being honest on the application where they asked how the vehicle would be used. I said it would be used around the property to plow, haul firewood etc. They turned me down saying they did not like to insure trucks and certainly not ones that were going to be used as trucks in any way.
Then I applyed to J. C. Taylor. Less info on how I use it (Only to shows and occasional sunday drives!) They ask if the engine is original. I explain I have put in a 318, but not for an increase in speed, the axle gearing limits that, just for a safer road worthy driver. They turned me down because it has had the engine increased.
The application for American Collectors insurance does not ask about usage, engine size, etc. Maybe they will take me. I know a bunch of you guys are insured by Haggarty and J.C. Taylor. what did you tell them to get them to accept you?
Tim
