I can understand the way you see things also Mac but the problem is the insurance companys dont see it that way. If you intend on using the truck for what it was designed for then you should just get regular insurance. Liability or full coverage and take your chances the full coverage would pay what the truck is worth if something was to happen. Most likely it wont though. Thats where the classic or agreed value comes into play.
Classis insurance is usually for an agreed value. They also want vehicles that are of show room condition or close to it. Vehicles that are basically retired from normal daily use. Vehicles that are going to come out on sunny days. Drive around for a while and go home to the garage. Maybe a few parades and some shows. Not grind up the side of a muddy sloppy logging road and have firewood throwed in the back of it to haul back down to the cabin.
