Recently bought a wc52. Good looking but I've been putting a lot of money into it to make it a daily driver (or at least a weekly driver). Not a great mechanic but these things are easier to work on than most stuff I've dealt with. I just got in a 52 rebuilt transfer case from Vintage. Good and grease. Should I change the seals out or not worry? Also the data plate says max speed 55. Runs great, even found myself doing 58. What should I keep it down to avoid damage to the engine? I am slowly changing out the gear oil on the Diffs and transmission. Should I add "Lucas" also for good measure? The center beam under the bed is rusted bad. I have a nice replacement but with 12 rivets it looks like a pain. Should I bother or just have it welded up?
Thanks for any help.
Robert
