I'm with Robert A below. I have torn apart some pretty bad trucks that still had usable wood blocks. If you cut them from a good quality wood, and preserve them, they should last another 60 years. I got lazy and used pressure treated pine for mine. Here are some dimensions that I drew up long ago. I can see if I can get some actual photos if you need them.
