Frame rivets

I am sure someone has had to replace the riveted frame connections with something?
Replacement rivets or what? Piecemeal truck I bought has some of the crossmembers unriveted in order to clean I suppose by the last owner. I am sure bolts will be the solution but I'd just like to hear what others may have done?
