Took my shoes in to the local brake and clutch shop for new linings. I'm pretty sure that what I took in had the same length friction material on both the leading and the trailing shoe. What I found out after looking at the relined ones once I got home is that one shoe now has a lining the full length of the shoe and one shoe has a shorter lining. What does the original shoe look like for a '58 W300M? Equal length or unequal length friction material?
I'm guessing(hoping) the brake shop knows more than I do. I'm sure for the 500 miles I drive this thing a year that anything is OK, but I would like to know how it is supposed to be.
Thanks,
