Steve,
Clint and Spence, are right on with the bolt/screw type.
The trans. cover is hex head with acme type threads,and square washer's. VPW had some good used ones.
Floor plates are 5/16 fine thread sloted flat screws with square whashers.
Floor mats where sloted sheet metal screws with "special" washer. Not as big as a fender type washer but bigger than a regular one. This is how I interpret the parts book,and the way my wdx was when taken apart.TGP
