If you wish to dismiss them because you call them "leftwing claptrap", I can find "rightwing extremist" sources also. Either way, Broussard may be a socialist and New Orleans is known for its corruption, however, my original point was that people shouldn't think that Federal help will be better. The stories I sourced show an active sabotage by FEMA of the people trying to help. First responders forced to take sexual harressment training before being made to hand out pamphlets in Atlanta is not my idea of dealing with a bad situation in New Orleans. You readily wish to blame the locals (rightly) but seem to think that the solution is to be provided by the political cronies of Bush (Michael Brown). Since you seem to have an intimate knowledge of the area, are the stories true or not? Did authorities force women to show their tits before helping them or not? Are they body slamming old ladies and taking guns away from them or not? Did they leave people in that hell hole of a stadium while Walmart had trucks full of water waiting or not? Please let us know.
