Has anyone EVER replaced the flathead 6 with a more powerful V6 or V8 in a WC 1/2 ton military, while retaining the original bellhousing, transimission and
floor mounted pedal arraingment?

This question came up again by another PW enthusiast, and all I could remember of past owners swaps was replacing both the motor and tranny and having to use some sort of firewall mounted swing pedal arrignment.

I think Helitool was working on something, But I dont think even they were going to retain the origianl tranny and bellhousing with floor pedals.

If someone has done this succesfully, I sure would like to hear from you.
