If you take a large spoonfull of whatever grease you're using & put it on the floor...if you come back 5 minutes later & that spoonfull isn't 24" in diameter then the grease you're using is too thick.
I've been around machinery all my life & there is no way a grease that doesn't find it's own level was meant to fill these knuckles & so far every heavy duty mechanic I've consulted agrees.
It just makes sense..no?
