A while back, Vintage Truck Magazine did an article on leaded fuel. They basically said the reported benefits were a bunch of hype from the petroleum companies. They said one of the reasons engines last so long these days is the use of unleaded fuel. They went on to say that lead additives are not needed and worse yet, hazardous.
This got me to wondering. Does this have anything to do with why a diesel engine lasts longer?
