OT: What do you think of the Dodge V10?

I am looking at a 2001 Ram 2500 4x4 with the V10 in it. It is hooked up to a automatic tranny. I don't know alot about the engine, or the engine/tranny combo. It belonged to a golf course designer/re-designer who hauled equipment with it regularly. I know he takes very good care of his machinery, but are there any little things I should be looking for in the engine or tranny area?
