Depends on how much mileage you do...I have a 6 year old truck with 50k miles. So if I got 10mpg with the v10 and 14 with the cummins it would mean that I used an additional 1400 gal. @ about 1.50/gal over the last 6 years. Total cost $2100.
Plus living here in Fairbanks Alaska - the V10 is easy to start in the winter!
I am not disagreeing with the economics of the Cummins - I would buy the cummins too if they were close in price. But if I found a good deal on a V10 I would consider buying it.
