Rusty Springs

I decided last Saturday that I was going take apart my 4 leaf springs from my 49 & sandblast & epoxy all the leafs individually & then reassemble them with a bit of grease so as to stop them from rusting.
Has anyone here done this?
Man...that's a lot of work! 600lbs of sand later & 1 gallon of paint & I'm ready to put them back together.
I don't know what I was thinking but I just never really thought about how many pieces make up those 4 spring packs.
They literally filled my whole shop in order to paint them. 3 hours worth of sandblasting.
Wonder how long it will take to rub through my spiffy new paint!
