O.K. I will explain the steps in selling a vehicle to you.
(1) Offer the truck for sale, seller and buyer negotiate a price.
(2) Buyer sends a non-refundable deposit on truck.
(3) Buyer has option of coming to inspect vehicle and pick it up, or arrange to have the vehicle transported.
If the buyer waives the inspection, they must send a check for the balence, before the truck is taken off the property.
(4) Once final payment is made and the funds are in sellers account, seller signs the title over to the buyer, and sends it in the mail to the buyer. There is a portion on the bottom of the title that the seller fills out and turns into the DMV stating that the truck was sold on this date, and to whom it was sold.
(5) When the buyer recives the title in the mail he must then take it to his DMV and apply for a new title in his name, and pay the appropriate sales tax on the final price of the vehicle. That sale price is stated on the title that the seller signs and sends to the buyer.

All that being said, The plates stay with the truck. Although I am no longer the owner, and I have released all interest in the vehicle to the buyer, I am the last person to have registered the vehicle, so I have to call the police and report it stolen. The truck turned up missing before the new owner applied for a title/ registration on his end.
Yes I have been paid in full for the truck.
The reason I post the vehicle missing here is that there is such a small market for a truck like this, maby someone here will see it somewhere or will have seen it somewhere, and recognize it. I am just trying to help the new owner recover his truck.
I would like to thank you for accusing me of insurance fraud James, You have really opened my eyes to how even in a honest hobby/ way of life such as this, there is always someone out there who wants to stab you in the back when they see an oppourtunity.
