3 years ago I rebuilt this engine, had shop put in cam bearings, do any needed machine work. I drove it maybe 50 miles,oil pressure was real good, this spring noticed heads were leaking. Pulled engine to get block decked, found the shop had screwed up the cam bearings, were scored up.
I put in all new bearings,new cam and lifters(just in case cam had messed up the bearings), got block boiled and decked. Now has low oil pressure-45# when cold on fast idle, at normal idle drops to 20#, then as it warms will drop nearly to zero.
I've replaced the mechanical gauge. Today I pulled the pan to check oil pump and bearings-all are OK. Is there an internal oil gallery plug on this engine besides the one under the oil filter adapter plate?Or what else should I look for besides pulling it down again?Help!
