I have the same problem with my77 GMC and I am on my second rebuild since march 1999 with only 3000 miles on the first rebuild and 11,000 miles on the second, AND I GET THE SAME LOW OIL PRESSURE.

Someone mention that the oil pump may not have been primed properly and may have air pockets in it. This does not make sense to me. Does this make sense to anyone??
