Well folks, now that my 1/2 ton WC12 is nearly done (some electrical hookups to complete and tweaks) I now turn to my next adventure, ground up restoration of a 1952 (delivery 12-16-1952), M37 winch truck. that I purchased from Tim Holloway about 2 years ago. (Tim I will be pinging you for parts and advice-lol). Actually after pulling off parts, the rust situation not all that bad including cab corner rust, rust under battery box. I figure this to be a 3 year project. The thought of converting to 12 volt crossed my mind but since I am a stickler for authenticity I will keep it original. I have been following the crud removal thread and will try the lye method for old grease and grime. Tire type another question. I will keep the group informed with the ongoing progress. Wish
