It is a sad case that forest management is not happening.

I remember just after Yellowstone burned we were in Yosemite National Park. I couldn’t believe it, they were clearing the undergrowth for over 100’ along the roads.

In the name of clean air they stopped all burning in our area. We have a lot of trees and wind so we get a lot of debris coming down during storms. You would get a couple days of people burning all the limbs. So now you can’t. The biggest opponent to the burning ban was the fire departments. They said if you stop debris burning your going to get a lot of fuel buildup. Yep in 20 years you can see the build up. It is super expensive to haul to recycle centers for composting so it piles up. Fifteen years ago it cost me over $100 to take a trailer load of branches. Now if you have a tree taken down they may take the large trunk to sell as firewood but the limbs are just chipped and often left in a pile.

Bottom line, hope to heck my neighbors are careful.
