Wow, what an awful loss! I'm so sorry to hear about this. I'm sorry for the loss of these young people and I'm sorry for the loss of your job (even though you requested it). So far, our family is safe, and my job is intact, thankfully. We'll see if that lasts.
One thing is, I guess I don't understand how anyone can say it's more serious than they've been telling us. That implies thst they've been hiding it from us. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to get confrontational, but it's been all over the news, with health experts from all over the world telling us that it's extremely serious, so much so that people have accused the press and medical establishment of exaggerating and blowing it out of proportion. I don't see how anyone can come away from all the coverage thinking that they're not telling us the extent of the seriousness. Maybe you're referring to the fact that these folks you mentioned were all young, but even then, we've been told that this disease can and does kill young people. It's just that older folks are much more likely to die from it. One study that came out a couple of weeks ago said that 30% of the hospitalizations due to Covid-19 were people aged 20 - 44, so they've been warning young people to take precautions just like anyone else. I'm sorry to ramble, but your words sounded like those of someone who thinks the government or the "elites" are intentionally keeping us in the dark, and I just don't think that's true.
