Wow, it's amazing how different people look at this thing differently. I've seen health experts say that they think the death rate may actually be lower than 2 - 3%, as they think there are a lot of people who are or were carrying it and don't know it. I think this could be true. But there's no disputing one fact, and that is the number of daily deaths due to Covid-19 in the U.S. has exceeded that of the seasonal flu by quite a bit for ach of the last few days. Of course, most of that is in New York, but it doesn't change that fact. Left unchecked or inadequately checked, it seems clear to me that the death toll would be a lot worse.
