Sometimes it's better to stay with what you have rather than discarding. If the block is in good shape other than the bore, sleeve it. 0.060 is the limit on pistons so you would have to sleeve the block and the sleeves generally have better metallurgy that the stock block anyway. You can spend several hundreds bucks getting another block and it's a risk you take as know one knows the condition of the block until it is disassemble, clean and checked by a machinist, and you could end up worse off. My opinion is look for a block if the one you have is non-repairable, you have no choice then. The more you bore an engine, the warmer it runs so getting back to std. pistons by sleeving is a good thing. If it is the original block for the truck, keep it!
