At the time I built the WC, the 1/2 ton disc conversions were still available, I kick myself for not having dropped the $800 at the time. I originally had hydroboost assist, but over time, I found that it actually increased the fade....especially in the front.

I always had problems with the 327 at idle, but it really sang at high RPM's. I am not sure what cam is in it, but I know it was WAAAY more power than that little half ton needs with 4.88 gearing. It was easily able to do 65-70mph, but braking was scary to say the least. 45 was really the comfortable max, and still is with the 350. It still sounds great, but is far more comfortable to drive...and stop...with the 465 handling 80% of the slowing down, the brakes just handle the final stop. I have since swapped out the hydro for vac assisted brakes, which has worked quite well. The drums and narrow pads simply did not like the increased pressure and would heat up and fade faster in stop and go situations in town unless you could catch all of the green lights. I used the booster and all of the brackets from my Jeep when I swapped in the 6.2 diesel and installed the hydroboost in it.
