Stihl chain saw

I have a medium size Stihl that's probably 25 years old. It starts and runs until I rev it up to cutting speed, then it sounds like it's starving for fuel and quits. It will start right up again, but as soon as I try to give it fuel it quits. I have always used non-ethanol premium in it and run it out of fuel before storing it over winter. I took out the little plastic filter in the fuel tank and blew it out, but still having problems. Any ideas? Thanks.
