I have to say...try the plug Jerry...I had a Honda lawnmower that did exactly this. It would start, idle perfectly & when I’d engage the blade, it would stall. I finally decided on an off chance, since I’d already had the carb apart & done everything else I could think of...I threw a plug in. Problem fixed! Worth a $2 experiment.
