I have a similar situation with the 318 in my 6x6. The transmission doesn't quite stop turning. After fiddling around with different master cylinders and changing the free play settings, a friend told me that it might be that the pilot bushing is a little tight on the input shaft. I'm hoping that it will loosen up over time.
