what I read I think on the allpar page is the economy killed it. i have driven chrysler airflows, buick straight 8 cars and owned a straight 8 pontiac I drove for 4 years. inline engines all run very smooth. the straight 8s even more smooth than the 6 in my experience. idle spec for a chrysler straight 8 was 325 rpms. so smooth cant hear them running. ;/)
