Took a while to post, but I went to a car show in Porterville, about a 20/25 min drive south of me, two Saturdays ago. I left early and felt confident, with having fixed the steering shake, all third member studs helicoiled and solid, putting new "RightStuff" gasket material on the third member so no leaks, all oils changed and fresh.

About five minutes into my drive the shake returned with a vengeance. I ended up driving to Porterville at 25mph the whole way, a 20 min drive turned into just over an hour. Anything over 25 would bring the shake back.

So I guess it will go back on jack stands and i will begin the disassembly of the front axle and get into the knuckles and see if maybe the bearings are bad or what. At this point its the last resort. I had considered taking it to a well renowned front end place here in town, but they may or may not know older vehicles like this, so i figured Ill do it myself. And hopefully something very obvious is found to be wrong. Only problem is fire season is about here so getting the time to do it may be a problem.

Sorry I didn't have better news
Nick
