First thing is to make sure you have the correct fork. I'll take a picture of my mount and shaft to see what the clearance is and post it for comparison. Make yourself a couple of transmission guides using grade 8 bolts, 9/16 x 5 inches NC thread, cut the heads off and make slots. These will help to install and if you have to remove the transmission a few times until we figure this out. The link shows an image.
