This past year at my shop has been difficult. I had 2 of my Techs retire. One was with my Dad and i 30 years. The other Tech was only 18 years. SO the search began for new techs. I hate change. My Wife took over looking for new folks to work for us. The boys and i started putting in more and more hours to get the work done. I was able to find one tech and so far he has been Good. But hes 30. I have another tech starting Monday another 30 year old. I have one more Tech who is going to retire in February. He will have 32 years with us. Another change that will be difficult. Why is it today things seem so different. Back when they started with us it seamed fine and the change was OK. Why do i keep thinking about the days gone by. Drives me crazy. I need to go for a drive in my W100. Things seam better looking threw the windshield. My Dad is 85 and he seams to take it better than i do. Any you old guys want a JOB. On a brighter note we serviced the Packard today Tomorrow we have a 68 Chevy coming in. Looks like i,ll have to show the young guys how to service that car.
