I think the uncertainty lies in that you don't know what the new techs are capable of-the old guys you could count on. We just put on about 25 more mechanics where I work (Airline Mechanics)-some are extremely sharp, some not so much. But us old guys are trying to hammer them in to shape and show them how it needs to be done. Show them how it needs to be, tell them to ask when they don't know, and keep on them. Hang in there.
