OK, so I read his data which seems to focus on wear protection. I was under the understanding that the heavy duty oils were better able to "absorb" soot and carbon which certainly is present in my non-blue tech diesels. Also, surprisingly he does not test any of the oils BMW/Audi/Mercedes/VW recommend for their diesels, such as the BMW LL4 oils or the VW 505.01 synthetics rated for 10,000 miles in diesel applications.

Just wondering..

And how many RPM are you turning in you 7.3 with the 4.10 gears at highway speeds? I'm almost tempted to put 3.73 gears in mine since at 70 MPH that 445 cubic inch engine is doing over 2300 RPM and sounds like a PW with 5.83's at 40 MPH!!
