question. could a machinist reproduce metal pistons that would eliminate the al pistons in the brake system? would be nice to have brakes sleeved and then use some sort of non corrosive piston. im a disc brake fan, so my question is more of a curiosity / learning situation. we had international straight trucks in pittsburgh that would melt the brake pistons from friction heat generated by the hills. the trucks had automatic transmissions, so the brakes had a heavy job. i always wanted to retrofit the trucks, but never got to it.
