HI I got a 79 PW with a 74 360 4bbl I starter it up last night engine over heated so when I shut if off I saw steam coming from the rear of the engine. I looked under the truck and a lot of water was running out of the bell housing. Is there a freeze out plug in the rear of this engine or what could it be? I check the old no bubbles or chocolate oil. So I guess I can rule out cracked block. Also on the same engine I put a new carb on it a week ago carter abf compition the engine runs rough for about ten seconds then it runs good for about ten seconds at an idle could this be timing? When you give the truck throttle it get a couple backfires thru the exhaust . When starting engine it backfires thru the carb sometimes. Thanks for any info at all.
