By the way the 383 came in BOTH B and RB versions and ALL modern non-Hemi blocks are B series blocks before they are RB series, it's just the deck heights that are different, evolved from the same casting which is why nearly everything at the front and rear will still bolt up. It's the same only different type of evolution, just like the Magnum V-6's were Magnum V-8 blocks with two cylinders loped off, NOT the same block, but yes the same block. A V-10 block IS an LA block, even though it has two more cylinders.
