Things were invented by the curiousity and experimentation that is the Natural tendency of boys and men. People really have such short memories about how they were and how they come to learn things. It wasn't all gotten from a textbook, as a matter of fact it appears many educators feel theres nothing new to learn or figure out outside a textbook. Recently I was reading through articles on the website Newswithviews.com that told of a proposed program in Illinios to start psyhc evaluating all kids from birth to 18 and all pregnant women to assess any possible future problems. If a child is not doing well in math they try to determine if it is caused by something mental that might cause future social problems and where he should be guided career-wise. So if they don't reach a certain skill level by a certain age or grade they are assessed for a future career that doesn't require as much math, they become locked in to be a drone or a worker bee or even a possible serial killer, by how their assessed. it is becoming a very scary world !
