I disagree that "flat fender" is a known term. I have one, and it took me quite a while to figure out that this was not a DIFFERENT VEHICLE ALTOGETHER. The acronym FF is called into question quite often by people reading this forum, as in "what's an FF?"
Since Flat Fender is not a term that's used ANYWHERE in any literature, it is more confusing than helpful. It's basically a nickname. Nicknames are great, but they're not helpful. in fact they're exclusionary, because if you don't happen to already know what it means, you're kind of left out of the conversation.
I like the suggestions that boil down to using terminology that Dodge used. At least it's not ambiguous, and it's not made-up nicknames.
