Wouldn't want to berate the vintage original, but personally I liked the remake better. It stars Roy Scheider (French Connection). The whole nearly first half of the story describes how each of the group of misfits winds up as a criminal expatriate in the South American village. The second half involves their exploits transporting the nitro across the jungle. The truck footage is better in the remake. Bruce
