Are you using an electric system or a 'mechanical'(hydraulic might be a better word) system? The mechanical system consists of a bulb containing alcohol permanenty attached to a tube that goes to the gauge. This system converts temperature to pressure, the gauge is actually reading pressure. Those 'mechanical' systems are fragile, especially the tube, and a sealed system.I hope it didn't get screwed up during disassembly. The mechanical always used an adapter fitting into the head,so you didn't twist the tube into a kink when srewing it in. Those 'mechanical' systems are fragile, I hope it didn't get screwed up during disassembly.
