I've seen both in action and believe both will do what you want. The M37 I believe has a slightly shorter wheelbase that might be a diamond in the rough when it comes to working in the woods. Speed is primarily dependant on axle ratios, but 50/55 MPH is probably the best you'll get on either stock truck. If you want speed look at Power Giants (1Ton+) that are built more for highway use yet still rugged like the Flatfenders & M37s. Unlike Marty, I believe the value range for good working FlatFender trucks is closer to the $4,000 to $8,000 range including M37s. The "collectors" trying to drive prices sky high will disagree, the regular folk will agree. It's your choice on which avenue to persue... buy it now from a "collector" at overinflated prices or shop till you find one from regular folk at reasonable rates. I think the trailer queens and Looky-Lou's (fresh driveway paint jobs, half-assed restoration attempts, a couple of modern upgrades) are asking above $8k-$10k. The really nice restorations are up there in $$ (easily starting at $15k). Good Luck from stupid head Ed!
