Last Question for now. PTO Take off, put it on??

Should I put the PTO Take off on the Transmission even tho I have nothing to opperate with it? Right now it has a cover but I have the unit and linkage to bolt on to the trans just wondering if it would be better to leave it off till it had a use. Wasn't sure if it would be a lot easier to put on now instead of later when it is all together. Mark H.
