The best information currently available on the 3-point lift, which we have been discussing, can be found in the reproduced sales literature offered by Fred Coldwell in a post below. Also the Power-Wagon film available in VHS and now DVD from Vintage Power Wagons as mentioned by Robert Metcalfe in another post below. Vintage Power Wagons also has published a book titled "Dodge Job Rated Trucks - The Dodge Power Wagon" available for $30.00. All of this current informatin can be found by searching through this web site and the links containd here. Also - EVERYONE should be subscribing to the "Power Wagon Advertiser" magazine. It contains a wealth of information each and every month. If you are not subscribing yet, now is your chance. Gordon Maney has a special offer in a post below.
To shed light on a few points, to the best of my knowledge, several companies made 3-point lift kits over the years for vehicles not normally thought of as "tractors" by mainstream society. The complete rear PTO and belt pulley attachment, as found on the Power-Wagon, was available as factory optional equipment and operated totally independant of any additional added 3-point lift system. Neither these PTO parts, nor the tailgate, had to be removed from a Power-Wagon to install a rear lift (at least on those designed well). There were a LOT of companies producing snowplows for the Power-Wagon. I have yet to see any of them associated with rear 3-point lift manufacture.
