Floating nuts are items we haven't overlooked in this WDX bed parts program. They're found inside the rear stake pockets, where the license plate bracket attaches. They're also used at the fuel filler neck area. It's a captivation of a square nut, in a cage, as shown, that allows the nut to "float" for easy alignment of the bolt. These square nuts are also of the "fine-thread" variety, as original, that have gone the way of the dinosaur - try to find some at your local hardware store! We have to have these made special for us (at great expense, I might add) these days, because of their obsolescence! This is just one of the many details involved in our work here. Dave Maher
